Still in the geek mood…

The term «sorcerer» and «sorcery» is used consequently in MYFAROG, when talking about what many would instead refer to as «magician» or «wizard» and «magic». Sorcery as a term originally means “lot”, “fate” or “oracular response”, from the proto-Indo European root *ser-, but is today most often understood as simply the art of casting spells or to exercise supernatural powers through the aid of spirits. Sorcery can be benevolent or malevolent but it is inherently neither “good” nor “evil”, like nature is neither “good” nor “evil”.

Sorcery in MYFAROG is a very “fairy tale” like thing, and it is heavily based on European customs and traditions, but although it has a special European feel to it, it is still not very different from the sorcery of other fantasy games. So again I don’t try to re-invent the wheel.

Sorcery in MYFAROG is real, powerful and very much a factor…

Female Warriors?

$

Serbian. Spanish.

Be warned! This post has most of the ‘qualities’ of a rant… ;-)

Earlier today I received a link from a guy to a site claiming that there were female Vikings. In fact, quite often do I hear such or similar claims; in news medias, in YouTube videos or comments, in e-mails from strangers and you name it. There seems to a trend here: for some reason some people want us to believe that women can be warriors too, and that they in fact have always been. We are in other words all equals in that respect too…

Some name Jeanne d’Arc as evidence of this, but in reality she was just an 18 year old girl who did nothing but inspire the men to fight – in other words, she did what all women have always been tasked to do: she urged the men to fight.

Others name the shield maidens as evidence of this, but in reality all the shield maidens did was to supply the fighting men with shields and weapons in the heat of battle. They approached the friendly lines from the rear and handed a new weapon or a new shield to the men who had lost or broken their weapons or had had their shields lost or smashed in the battle. The shield maidens didn’t participate in the battle in any other way!

Then we have archaeology, where female remains are found, wearing armour and resting with shields and weapons alongside them. They have no battle injuries though, and the fact that women were buried with weapons and armour does in no way suggest that they were warriors. This was the custom: to bury the dead with their belongings, or with their family’s belongings. They wanted to be reborn after all, and be able to use these things in the next life as well, or be able to hand them over to their husbands or sons in the next life – like shieldmaidens used to do (all over Europe at one point).

I urge you to ask a single simple control question in this context: are women physically fit or even suited for combat? The answer is a clear no! No, no, no no! They are not suited for combat at all. They have a bigger fat to muscles ration than men do, they are thus slower and physically weaker. That alone is enough to disqualify them as fighters, but you can also add that they have breasts, that their pain threshold is lower, that they have big hips and that they are much less aggressive too.

Sure, you can train a woman to become at least a little bit dangerous in combat, but for the amount of training needed to do that you would be able to train ten average men to all become much more dangerous in combat than even the best female fighter could ever dream of becoming.

Not only that, but what happens to a tribe if they send their women into combat? A tribe can do without many, or even most of, the men, but a tribe will disappear from the face of the earth, if their women are killed in battle. Only complete idiots would send their women into battle! Thankfully though, none of our forebears were that stupid, so we are still around. Also, what kind of tribe would want to send their women into battle? If they were willing to do that, why not send the children too? And the old? And the blind? Sorry, but no: there is no culture in Europe that would even consider doing that. Even today men have too strong a sense of honour to do that. Or so I hope…

I trained martial arts when I was young, actively for about five years, and we had some women there. Although we were training a form of karate, a martial art tailor made for small and physically weaker human beings, which should thus be ideal for women, the women there stood no chance in Hell in matches against any of the boys or men there. If they were to hit us we had to let them hit us, or else they would never hit. If they were to block our attacks, we had to hit or kick veeeeery slowly, or else they would stand no chance to block our attacks. In matches, the only thing that ever let them score a hit on one of the guys, was the guys’ reluctance to hit or in other ways hurt women or let women be humiliated in front of others. The male reluctance to hit women, can best be explained to women like this: try to imagine you being asked to hit a child. Would you like that?

When we know that, the claims by – yes – feminist extremists, that women were and perfectly well can be warriors, just like men, is just ridiculous. They can be buried with all the armour and weapons in the world: it doesn’t make them warriors! Any army made up of even a small portion of female warriors would have been butchered in the old days, and today – even though firearms evens the odds out a bit – the females still stand no chance, because they are not even able to carry all the gear they need to the front.

So if you still believe in “Viking Women” and other such nonsense, please take a moment to think.  There were no such things. Physics alone rules female warriors out. Biology does too. The female soldiers we have today are – ‘big surprise’ – not front-line soldiers. They work in transport units, in kitchens, in intelligence, in entertainment units, in communication units, and so forth. They don’t have what it takes to be a real soldier.

Enjoy what happens when one of the deluded female ‘warriors’, presumably with tons of training, challenges a male soldier for a boxing duel in Iraq:

Dear women: try to be good women instead, and leave being good men to the men.

Hail the strong European gods – and hail the feminine and caring goddesses too!

Into the Shades…

Some time ago I made a post here in support of the by Kevin S. newly formed ‘White Shade Society’ (WSS), because I was told that WSS was supposed to be a forum built around the Thulean Perspective community.

The other day I dropped by, because I received so many complaints from fellow European Óðalists, and saw this on the home page of WSS: “Welcome to White Shade Society, a pro-life/pro-right-to-die Christian/Pagan/Atheist et al, health and human rights community”. So WSS is not built around the TP community, but is instead a site for pretty much anybody (except for those who happen to live in South America [they are all banned from WSS, because they live in South America]) and WSS even promotes Christianity! That is about as far from the Thulean Perspective community as you can get.

I wanted to support a forum for those who share at least most of the opinions expressed on Thulean Perspective, but instead Kevin turned it (or allowed it to be turned) – after I had given him my support – into a forum for Christians as well, and apparently (if we are to trust the many mails I have received) even a forum where Christians and Christianity is under special protection and is given special rights to attack our own European culture (Paganism).

So, just like I wrote a post in support of WSS, I will now write a post retracting my support. I have asked Kevin to remove my profile on WSS, and he kindly did, and I will encourage everybody else to do the same. WSS is with the embrace of Christianity and Christians an anti-Óðálism forum, and I don’t think Kevin understands what Óðalism is. He and all others who are in doubt should read these posts:

See here: WHY ODALISM

And here: WHY THE EUROPAN RELIGION

I can add that I have tried to reason with Kevin, but he doesn’t seem to understand the problem, and he even refuses to answer simple questions.

Christians represent a religion that has since it’s start as a sect in Judea, been responsible for almost a total destruction of Europe. Christians are enemies of Europe and everything European, and you have to understand that and take the consequences of that. See here: ABOUT APOLOGISTS

The Myth of Christianity as a Wall against Islam

$

Serbian.

Some seem to think Christianity is and has always been a wall against Islam, but let me remind you of a few historical facts:

The Teutonic Knights did not attack Islam. Instead they attacked true Europeans (i. e. Pagan Europeans), in Prussia, Lithuania, Livonia and Estonia. They also attacked other Christians, both Catholic Poles and Russian Orthodox Slavs. Not only that; they attacked the Christian Slavic tribes at a time when they were already under attack from the Mongols in the East. Other parts of Europe too were under attack, from Muslims, and received no help from the Teutonic Knights, who gave priority to slaughtering Europeans.

Example Sources:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teutonic_Knights

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mongol_Empire

Then we have the crusades, when Christians instead of fighting against the Muslims decided to e. g. sack the capital of the Christian Byzantine Empire – leaving her vulnerable to the Turkish hordes advancing from the East. They even raped the nuns in the monasteries. The Muslims didn’t advance further than they did into Europe because of the efforts of the Christians, but mainly because of the Mongol Horde – who attacked them from the East.

Example Sources:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Constantinople_(1204)#Sack_of_Constantinople

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_people#Beyliks_era

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Baghdad_(1258)

Some times Christianized Europeans were butchered only because they did not have the ‘right’ type of Christianity, like the Cathars, who were completely anihilated by Catholic crusaders. The Bogomils too fell victim to the hatred and aggression of crusaders.

Example Sources:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catharism#Massacre

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albigensian_Crusade

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bogomilism#War_with_Hungary

This in-fighting culminated, I think we can say, with the ‘Reformation’, resulting in a a series of wars, the worst one being the ‘Thirty Years War’, that killed as much as between 25 and 40% of the entire population of Germany alone (and many other Europeans too), and left the entire Christian Balkans to the mercy of the Muslim Ottomans for hundreds of years.

Now think about that for a while: between 25 and 40% of the entire German population killed in 30 years… because of Christianity!

Example Sources:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protestant_Reformation#Thirty_Years_War:_1618-1648

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottoman_Empire

Now, letting the Muslims wreck havoc to large parts of Europe, was not a new thing to the Christians. In the 8th and early 9th century, rather than take back what the Muslim Moorish aggressors had taken in Iberia, when his father Charles Martel had been king of France, the Christian Charlemagne decided that it was more important to convert the Saxons (Germans), and spent about 30 years killing Saxons – an even massacred them, when he had the chance to. The result of this was naturally that the Muslim Moors could keep almost all of the Christian Iberian Peninsula for 500 years!

Example Sources:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saxon_Wars

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacre_of_Verden

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moors

I could go on an on about this, showing you how Christianity has not defended Europe from anybody at all, and instead focused on wrecking havoc in Europe and for Europeans – even when Europe was seriously threatened from the outside, by foreign enemies such as the Moors, the Ottomans and the Mongols/The Golden Horde. The Christians of Europe left their fellow Christians to fight the foreign threats on their own, and often even supported the foreign threats or even attacked the Christians defending against them in the back.

Example Source:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franco-Ottoman_alliance

If anybody thinks that Christianity is the solution, the way to go to ensure the survival of Europe, then think again. Christianity itself is an enemy of Europe, and has always been an enemy of Europe, and is the biggest direct and indirect cause of all our unwanted problems.

The Pagans of Europe united whenever they faced a common threat, and we should do that today as well, and in the future.

Example Source:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Teutoburg_Forest

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vercingetorix

Europe is Pagan in blood, mind and spirit, and must return to her roots to become harmonious again. Not peaceful, not weak, not tolerant, but harmonious: in accordance with the laws of nature. Never compromise with Christians: they are enemies of Europe!

The Cro magnon is our Forefather!

BulgarianFrenchMagyar. RussianSerbian.

Many ‘racialists’ out there think of Cro magnon as the origin of our European species, and when I say that our origin is Neanderthal, they aggressively attack me and call me an idiot. They are not very smart and/or very well informed though. You see, I have never said that we don’t descend from Cro magnon, that none of our forebears were Cro magnon. Yes, we do descend from Cro magnon as well, and I will tell you how this is…

The Neanderthal is the original European. Homo sapiens is the original African. That we know as facts.

Some 110.000 years ago Europe started to become covered by glaciers. It was in the beginning of a great Ice Age that ended some 12.000 years ago. One of many, I may add. During this Ice Age (probably much later than the beginning of the Ice Age) some Europeans – i. e. Neanderthals – travelled south, into Homo sapiens territory. Yes: Homo sapiens did not travel north and met Neanderthals, as is claimed by the scientists today. Even the most simple of minds can figure that out: if there was an Ice Age in Europe, the dark Africans would have no reason to travel northwards, and certainly they would not be very successful if they did. Even today, dark-skinned human beings need to take ‘Sunshine vitamins’ to even develop properly, and to be able to survive for a long time here in Europe. If they don’t they will die, if nothing more serious, then at least much earlier than the native Europeans, because of their poor health (due to a lack of ‘Sunshine vitamins’).

Even the Neanderthals had problems coping with the cold, and they were used to it. The Africans were certainly not. So we can be pretty sure it happened the other way around: some Neanderthals traveled southwards, and they met Africans there, in the area where Europe, Asia and Africa meet; Northern- and Eastern Africa and the Middle East….

Before this great Ice Age ended, a new type of man appeared. Not a new species, nor a new ‘race’, but just a very diverse type of man that we today call the Cro magnon. Scientists say this was a result of ‘evolution‘, and claim that the African man had ‘mutated’ and all of a sudden became very different, but if you are able to add 2 + 2 and understand that it becomes 4, then you will understand that Cro magnon was a result of the race mixing – or actually ‘species mixing’ – that occurred when the European Neanderthals traveled south and met the African Homo sapiens – right when the Cro magnon appeared…

The first Cro magnons were in other words half ‘white’ and half ‘black’. Some looked more Neanderthal than others, and some looked very much African. None of them looked the same; not even within the same tribes! Most of them had the features we identify as typical for mixed race or mixed species creatures, like abnormal growth (some of them were huge!) and bad teeth, and other health and fertility issues.

With time the Cro magnon spread out across the world, and naturally it mixed with pure Neanderthals in Europe and with pure Homo sapiens in Africa – and probably with pure Denisovans in Asia. Wherever it went it left an impression genetically, and yes: we in Europe changed because of that, and no longer look exactly like we did before this mixing occurred. We now have some African genes too, that we got via the Cro magnon.

The (assumed) spread of African genes in Europe, via the hybrid known as ‘Cro magnon’ (from 37.500 to 30.000 year before present):

147px-Cro-Magnon_range_37,500_ybp.svg  147px-Cro-Magnon_range_35,000_ybp.svg 147px-Cro-Magnon_range_32,500_ybp.svg147px-Cro-Magnon_range_30,000_ybp.svg

PS. This map is obviously not very accurate, because 30.000 years ago both Denmark and Finland as well as Northern Russia were covered by glaciers. I still use this map to make it clear that the Cro magnon spread out from the Middle East.

So they are right: Cro magnon is our forefather, but only one of them, and the vast majority of our forefathers were Neanderthals. Cro magnon is not a species, but a mix between two species, and we Europeans are on average 99.7% Neanderthal and 0.3% Homo sapiens. The more ‘European-looking’ you are, the more Neanderthal genes you are likely to have, because the Neanderthal was very European-looking, as explained here.

If you don’t think this makes sense, take another look the the (assumed) spread of Cro magnon, and compare that to the % of Neanderthal features in Europe:

4360328_f520 europe-eyes-general--lig europe-hair0223--light-h

The further away from the Middle East you go in Europe, the less of the dark Homo sapiens features you will find, and I may say: of course! Because the Cro magnon became more and more European (Neanderthal) the further away from the Middle East he came. If you combine that knowledge, with knowledge about the Moorish invasion of Iberia and Italy, and the Turkish invasion of the Balkans, in historical times, and other migrations inside Europe too, then you will be able to understand exactly why Europe looks the way it looks today.

Global Death

FrenchSerbian.

If you want to import a plant or an animal from abroad, you are most of the time not allowed to – and take note of the reason why: because the government wants to ensure that the agricultural industry is kept free from pests and diseases (source, source and source).

This makes sense, naturally: plants and animals from other parts of the world are carriers of pests and diseases that our plants and animals are not from nature equipped to deal with, and that we in any case don’t want here.

The introduction of new plant or animal species is always very risky, and commonly cause huge problems to the native plants and animals. I am sure we all know the ‘horror story’ about Australia and the introduction of rabbits and foxes there – and the consequences for the native animals. So we are probably all happy that we have a good system in place, intended to protect our flora and fauna – and our agricultural industry.

But are we – the people living here – offered the same degree of protection?

They protect us from harm by forcing us to wear a seat belt if we drive a car (but not a bus…!?) even if we are so obese that we can not fit into a car seat belt without a seat belt extension, so why would they not protect us from e. g. Ebola? Right?

410675d_car_seat_belt_extender_install_1_2_1

Many here in our ‘civilised’ part of the world assume that we are safe, because we have such a modern health care system and such effective systems to identify and deal with contagious diseases. I mean; if we go to such lengths to protect our native flora and fauna, and the agricultural industry as well, we can assume that the same level of protection is in place for us native human beings too, right?

Well… when a man in the ‘advanced’ USA, just after returning from a stay in the Ebola-ridden Liberia (source), became sick and went to a doctor the 26th of September, they did not isolate him immediately. He was instead told to go home, because they failed to identify the cause of his illness (Ebola), and was only isolated in a hospital two days later – exposing all those he had contact with in the meanwhile for the virus (source).

They stop plants and pet animals in the customs, because they might have some disease or bring some pests, but people arriving from Ebola-ridden countries are free to enter just like that? Not even a quarantine? And note that Ebola is just one of many such threats to our populations (source).

We live in a global village now, whether we like it or not, and the truth is that diseases that in the past would exterminate whole villages, still can do just that: exterminate the whole global village…

Living, walking and learning together? (And dying together….)

GlobalVillageLogo1Global-Village-with-Juniataedited

The global village will survive for some time, sure. Their total failure is not just around the next corner; their fall is long and painful. Ebola will tear on their concept, just like HIV/AIDS did, and so will the ‘fruits’ of ‘multiculturalism’, ‘feminism’, ‘capitalism’, ‘socialism’ and all their other fallacies do too. Eventually the weight of all these curses will be too much for their system to carry, and combined they will spell the doom of the global village – a concept we know well they refuse to abandon, no matter the cost (source, source and source). All those who cling to their global concept will fall with it. All those who refuse to change, and their children too, will die – a horrible, painful and humiliating death.

Only those who escape the village will survive; run to the hills, hide in the forest, build your castle in the mountains, fortify your island – and isolate yourself from the global village as best you can, as soon as you can, in good time before it is too late. The sooner you start, to plan, to prepare, and to actually do this, the more likely you are to survive. Become as self-sufficient as you can, and only become dependent on and accustomed to what you know you can build, maintain, repair and keep going without any help from the global village.

Good luck…

It took a bit longer than I had anticipated;

Link: http://www.dagbladet.no/2014/10/06/nyheter/ebola/utenriks/sykdom/epidemi/35614560/

They say it is not airborne, but they don’t know that (and they don’t even seem to understand what ‘airborne’ means). It probably is; how else could a professional nurse become infected in a Spanish hospital? Are they completely incompetent there or what? They had one single patient with Ebola, and now (at least) one nurse is infected. That’s bad statistics, and is not very encouraging for the medical personnel. What happens if they get ten patients? Or one hundred? Or thousands?! They will quickly run out of medical personnel…

How long will the nurses keep working, before they say ‘stop’ and refuse to go to work? What happens then?

How long will the policemen keep working, before they say ‘stop’ and refuse to go to work? What happens then?

How long will ordinary workers keep taking the bus or the metro?

How long before it all collapses?

..and the airlines still fly between West Africa and the rest of the world. You know: Globalism comes before anything! They need to shift people between the continents, and keep this world a ‘global village’. Entire villages have been wrecked by Ebola already… and that will happen to the ‘global village’ too.

Brace yourselves. S will soon HTF!

MYFAROG is now being printed, and will probably be published no later than in December this year. Note also that all the character sheets and a number of myth master (or ‘game master’) aids have been made available on the ‘Character Sheets & Myth Master Aids’ page (found under ‘About’ on http://www.myfarog.org). These can be freely downloaded and printed out for private use.

PS. I can add that you don’t need all these sheets to play the game. Most of them are optional and only there for those who wish to use them. Also, a player will only use either the Seiðr sheet or the Âsatrû sheet (or the Âsatrû sheet for use with optional rule 2).

Gamers are going to want their characters to engage in combat, so if the combat rules don’t work, like if they are too slow, too unrealistic or in any way unbelievable, then the whole game is as I see it broken and basically unplayable.

The difficult part in this context is of course to find a balance between what is realistic and what is playable, but I think the problem is to a large degree solved by making a system where the players can easily adjust the system according to their style of play and preferences.
